HVAC Controls System Installer

VT/NH

We are currently seeking a Working Foreman with proven supervisory experience running commercial projects. We are seeking an individual with a minimum experience of 2-5 years in Electrical Installations (HVAC or Industrial Controls Installation is a Plus).

Essential Functions:

  • This candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and the ability to supervise and direct other VHV employees and trades.
  • This candidate will be expected to stay current with all necessary training and licensing related to the HVAC advanced control systems (BAS, EMS, DDC) sequence of operations, IT networks, and smart HVAC equipment.
  • Provide input to sales staff as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start up and commissioning of projects.
  • Provide support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building occupancy codes and insure efficient building operation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Work location is flexible between our main office and our satellite offices in Littleton and West Lebanon, NH.
  • Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing specific job functions.
  • A company vehicle will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Well versed in all aspects of Local, State and National (NFPA 70\NEC) Codes and Standards.
  • A resourceful, strong work ethic combined with a teamwork approach are key attributes the candidates should have if you are applying for this position.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, control drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Confer regularly with immediate supervisor and various other company personnel/departments to plan and coordinate tasks/projects, discuss problems and needs related to electrical\controls installations.

Competencies – Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must hold a valid electrical license (EM) or Electrical Specialist (ES-A1 or C3 or both).
  • Maintain all applicable certifications and licenses as required.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather and temperature conditions.
  • Possess strong practical problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure conformance to all company, customer, State and Federal safety regulations.
  • Ensure all applicable local and state codes and standards are being adhered to.
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, uses and repairs.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to meet company, VOSHA, and OSHA standards.
  • Adhere to VHV’s policies and procedures while representing and promoting the company in a professional manner.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • PAbility and willingness to travel to local as well as remote locations (out of town, out of state).
  • For short and/or extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to: see well (either naturally or with correction).
  • Use hands, fingers, arms, and legs to safely manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry tools and materials weighing 75 lbs or more.
  • Climb up and down, balance and work safely on ladders and scaffolding fifteen feet or more in the air.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • The employee occasionally works outside and is occasionally exposed to cold, wet and or humid conditions.
  • Work occasionally takes place at construction jobsites where normal construction hazards exist, including work near moving mechanical parts, work in high and precarious places, confine spaces and the risk of electrical shock.
