VHV Company is seeking an HR / Safety Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to two busy departments. We are a 100% Employee Owned Company that has been in business for more than 70 years.

  • Track licensing, certifications and training
  • Apprenticeship enrollments and tracking apprentice hours
  • Filing, organizing, printing and copying
  • Assist during annual open enrollment
  • Assist with benefit administration
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation
  • Covering phones as needed
  • Data entry


  • Distribute, track and record weekly toolbox talks
  • Track safety training
  • Prepare and distribute safety manuals
  • Assist with safety orientation
  • Data entry


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Planning/organization/time management skills
  • Team player, self-motivator and independent worker
  • Detailed oriented to maintain accurate information
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
