Position Description
The Talent Acquisition Manager will attract, engage, and hire top-tier talent that strengthens VHV’s culture, delivers on our Hire, Promote, Reward, Repeat philosophy, and supports long-term organizational growth. This position ensures consistent, high-quality recruiting experience for candidates, hiring managers, and the entire VHV team while upholding all compliance, brand, and ESOP standards.

Capacity To Do It: Strong communication, organization, multitasking, follow-through, compliance knowledge, and technology proficiency (ATS, social, job boards, CRM-style tools).
Key Responsibilities
Own the Full-Cycle Recruiting Process
- Lead recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions across all departments.
- Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, roles, and timelines.
- Coordinate interviews, screen candidates, administer assessments, and conduct reference/background checks.
- Make hiring recommendations and prepare/deliver job offers.
Build & Maintain Talent Pipelines
- Source candidates using job boards, apprenticeships, tech centers, job fairs, referral networks, colleges, and community partnerships.
- Maintain positive relationships with schools, technical centers, industry associations, and community organizations.
- Oversee relationships with staffing agencies and negotiate fees.
Strengthen VHV’s Employer Brand
- Partner with Marketing, HR, and operations leaders to ensure consistent, on-brand job postings and recruitment advertising.
- Represent VHV at hiring events, career fairs, industry conferences, and community outreach engagements.
- Promote VHV’s ESOP culture, Core Values, and career development pathways.
Manage ATS & Recruiting Data
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System.
- Track hiring metrics, provide monthly/quarterly recruiting reports, and support Leadership with measurable-driven insights.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws and internal processes.
Candidate Experience & Communication
- Ensure timely, consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
- Provide a positive, professional, and VHV-aligned experience for all candidates.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and support hiring managers to follow consistent processes.
Support Onboarding & Development
- Assist HR with new hire onboarding, communication, Day 1 prep, and culture alignment.
- Support workforce development, apprenticeship outreach, and engagement initiatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes.
Contribute as a VHV Employee-Owner
- Model VHV’s Core Values.
- Uphold ESOP culture and contribute to building a strong employee-owner community.
- Assist with other HR tasks, initiatives, and projects as needed.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or similar field required.
- Preferred: Familiarity with mechanical construction, trades, or technical hiring.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance.
- Proven interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building ability.
- Strong organization and time-management capacity.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

- Office-based position with frequent computer use (67–100% of the day)
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers for extended periods
- Must lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally (files, supplies)
- Occasional travel or site visits may be required
- Clear verbal communication and accurate data entry required
