Shop Laborer and Driver
Winooski, VT
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Shop laborer/driver. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery and receipt of materials and equipment to and from project sites, suppliers, and our warehouse facilities. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Delivery and Pickup: Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies between project sites, suppliers, and warehouse locations. Tracking and ensuring completeness and of all orders shipped to job sites on time.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery receipts, packing slips, and shipping manifests, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Communication: Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers, warehouse staff, and suppliers to ensure efficient logistics and timely deliveries.
- Prepare pickups and drop offs for Service Technicians and Operations Foremen.
- Notify appropriate personnel of material and equipment deliveries.
- Able to support shop floor work in between deliveries and loading.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating vehicles and handling materials to maintain a safe work environment.
