Project Manager

VHV has a current opening for a seasoned Project Manager with mechanical, plumbing and HVAC background. Candidate must have minimum 5 years experience.

Looking for someone who can:

  • Complete projects by contract deadline.
  • Manage project budget to meet or exceed estimated cost.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality while making sure field crew are following VHV’s safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Establish rapport with customer, general contractor, co-workers and other subcontractors.
  • Review and understand project scope of work, blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details.
  • Read, understand and submit submittals for project.
  • Review weekly labor analyses to make sure project stays on schedule and in budget.
  • Serve as coach and mentor to Project Foreman. Motivate the crew and maintain high employee morale.
  • Ensure vendors or subcontractors are handling project items, punch lists and schedule so they do not have a negative impact on project.
  • Create goodwill with customer. Listens to customer concerns and goes above and beyond to assist meeting their needs.
  • Creates and maintains a diversified work environment that is harassment free which is in compliance with VHV’s company policy and State and Federal regulations.
Administrative Assistant

VHV Company has a current opening for a Project Assistant. This position is administrative support to our project management teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine clerical and administrative functions for multiple project managers and field foreman. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Drafting correspondences, reports and other documents.
  • Preparing Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Issuing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Maintain tracking system for projects. Creating and maintaining various Excel spreadsheets. Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.
  • Recording minutes from Project Manager meetings.
  • Assisting other departments as needed; serving as back-up receptionist.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning/organization/time management skills.
  • Team player, self-motivator and independent worker.
  • Detailed oriented to maintain accurate information.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Sales – Service Department

VHV is looking for a full-time sales associate to join our Service Department selling HVAC preventive maintenance contracts.

Required experience:

  • Prior sales experience needed and knowledge of HVAC a plus.
  • Sales experience: 5 years
  • Drivers license required
Field Welder

VHV Company has an immediate opening for experienced Welder with 6G Certification. Essential functions include:

  • Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
  • Layout, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or template to ensure conformance with specifications. Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
  • Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron and other alloys.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
  • Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
  • Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.

  • Commercial field construction
  • Hiring all skill levels from unskilled laborer to experience foreman.

Service Technicians
